Long Tube Header Choice Empty Long Tube Header Choice

    Post  79treemaster Tue Dec 10, 2013 12:22 pm

I'm wanting to add some long tube headers and don't want them dragging the ground and I want a set that will fit the the 305 without tweaking tubes. Other words I want to install them with no mods. Anyone have any experiences they want to share?

Well I see you still have issues with the passenger side. I wonder if a set of Hookers or Hedmans will work from a Chevelle or Camaro? Since I am planning on hopefully a big block I am not spending the extra money on the ceramic coating for the 305. Did you buy an exhaust kit or did you have the shop bend all of it?

We thought there was a problem with the passenger side, but there really wasnt, it was the metal tube that covers the starter wires, it was blocking it from being installed, and we thought it was one of the header tubes hitting the frame, but it turned out fine after we moved the starter wires. My step dad bent all the pipes at his shop. One of his buddies told me that A Body headers also fit, but im not one hundo percent positive on that. Yeah i didnt want to pay for ceramic coated for my daily driven engine, once a good built motor is dropped in, then it will be a different story.

Long Tube Header Choice Empty Headers

    Post  383Falcon Wed Apr 01, 2015 12:01 am

I have a set of 3" Hedman headers which did require a little cutting on the passenger side. With my current tires 235-75R15 I have no clearance issues but when I have my BFG Radials 235-60R15 and 275-60R15-rear I have to be very careful with speed bumps..
