    That would be slick. My Father was trying to get me to put a Duramax Diesel in mine. That would be something. Plenty of room though. Can you imagine the sound coming from a 79 like that?

    I really like the headers on that Northstar. What type of transmission is that? Looks like a 700R4.

    Hmm, funny that you bring that up.  I saw this on C-list a couple days ago.

    These diesel powered cars were cool because they used the HydroBoost setup for the brakes.  Definitely the route to go if you install a big cam and lose all your vacuum.

    They are expensive to have the blocks repaired from a factory defect, the head bolts pull the aluminium block threads out, causing a major coolant leak into the oil. A $2000.00 + job at the machine shop. But also a cool engine.
