Looking flor a good dual plane intake for my 355. Currently running a single plane. I think I can get better performance from a dual plane

if its mainly a street driven car, then a dual plane is your best bet, better torque. Get yourself a RPM Airgap, since you got a 355 i know you have some decent mods and thatll be a good intake.

Will the air gap manifolds clear the hood? I have been thinking of installing one, but haven't measured yet

Oh yeah it will definitely clear, i havent had one, but i had an edelbrock 2101 intake with a 1 inch spacer, holley carb, and then a 4 inch thick filter and still had room to spare, hood didnt touch the air cleaner. Fast forward a few years to now, and i run a vortec rpm intake half inch spacer holley and 3 inch filter and the hoods like a quarter inch from the top of the air cleaner. The rpm intake was about an inch taller than the 2101. So i think youll be fine, theres a decent amount of room under the hood of these cars
