RegisterI have recently inherited my fathers 79 delta 88 royale. Since I have put an Olds 455 in it. My question is the brake booster. Is there options for smaller diameter boosters? Any information would be great. I understand smaller booster could affect the braking power but I'm willing to compromise with that.

Yes, i did some researching awhile ago, and found i think it was a 77 or 78 impala have, well.if you go to a parts store they will have listed smaller boosters, i think a 9 inch and the 11 inch, i know they will mount the same do i wouldnt see why it wouldnt fit yours, theyre all the same.

Those boosters are standard fair (one benefit of owning GM) you can buy those aftermarket ones in numerous
sizes , shapes and finishes they will all bolt up for the most part. Maybe a slight mod needed but I have yet to
have any aftermarket parts issues myself and my list on my 79' is extensive. It's not like were driving Fords now.
(Felt compelled to toss that in friend just asked to price door hinge on Ford for him ..$225 + ouch)
