This car has a perfect interior except for a portion of the headliner and both sun visors are sagging.
Appears the material has separated from the foam.
Anyone ever repair this and have it come out good?
If so how did you do it? Input is most welcome and appreciated!

Upholstery spray on glue. If it's drooping badly, upholstery tacks hold it very well. They're like thumb tacks but the post is curly and they screw in.

Yes either those two for a small quick fix will work, but if its the whole thing just replace it, i did it myself. Ordered the fabric and sprayed it and layed it myself, pretty easy if you have a 2 door car to get the 1 piece foam board out, but if you have a 4 door some glass will have to be removed if you don't want to fold the foam board. Its a mess though to remove the old headliner gosh that was the worst part!

Hi and thanks for the reply.
Not really looking for a patch, rather a proper , looks like new fix.
I have not pulled it out yet but it apears to be thin material mounted on foam and laminated to a fibre board or the like.
See a the foam has disintegrated. Allowing the cloth to hang down.
Any idea if this material is available?
These cars are kind of weird. They are not really old enough to be collectable and to old to be able to get these parts from the dealer!

Yes you can buy the fabric to do yourself, I purchased mine from stockinteriors.com. the only way for a nice factory fix is to replace it. Take it to an auto upholstery shop if you'd rather not tackle it yourself. They're very easy, just one big piece of foam board to spray and cut a few holes out for the fabric.

I cant seem to find the option build sheet on the car. So I don't know the interior color code. Kind of a light tan, or Camel color would be the best way to describe it.i will contact stockinteriors.com and maybe they will know. If they can help me out then that is perfect. I just throw money at them, they throw parts my way and the problem just went away!

Sounds like the exact same color as mine, I know the interior was called oyster for the color. Let me check for you the part that I ordered.

Okay so I kept an old remnant of the original fabric and that is the piece on top, the one below is a sample from stockinteriors they sent me, it was the closest color they had that would match.

That could very well be it!
I was jut speaking to the people you recommended and they want me to go online and request samples.
I will keep an eye open for Oyster as it does look like a winner.
I suppose that is going to be the route to go.
Strange i cant locate the option code sheet, sticker for spare tire, jack storage in the trunk is perfect, and nothing in the glove box. Or doors?

Oyster is the name from GM I don't remember what stockinteriors called that color for the part number I gave you. I happened to find my build sheet in between the front seats, i dont know how it survived there, but then I also got the factory build sheet (I can't remember the correct name for it) and that was located under the rear seat.
    Here's from my build sheet:

    Thanks for the assistance buddy.

Me too I found this built sheet into the seat!

but if the fabric of sun visor are dead, may be it's time to rebuild all the roof?

it look brown on my screen, I have fabric for car, previously buy it for stock caprice 77 color, but finally I do all black.
I sell it here, is it the same color?

    Thanks again Kids.
I believe things are on the right track, samples are on the way.
Bought the car from the original owner, 95 yrs old. Finally had his licence refused.
Kind of a weird build. Two tone paint, A/C, rally wheels, AM FM. No power anything!
Under 60,000 miles, car is great except it is a slug!
    Taking care of that issue.

I'm in Canada, about 2 hrs N/E of Toronto. Heading down to Memphis in May for a tech session at FAST, which is a division of Competition Cams. I have been down there before and love the people. They always treat me great!

I'm in the middle of replacing the headliner in my 1977 Impala 4-door.  Not difficult, but tedious:
