Trying to get new floorpans made

Hi! I've found a company that can make custom floorpans for anything if they're given reasonable ones to use as a template. They need not be perfect.

I have a '92 Roadmaster wagon, but it's on DD status so I can't just tear the floorpan out at the moment or I'd happily do it myself.

To my knowledge, B-Body pans from '73 to '96 are INCREDIBLY similar, regardless of whether it's a wagon, sedan, or coupe. I know my wagon has a different spare tire well than the sedans did, amongst other things.

I was hoping someone would volunteer if they're in need of new sheetmetal and they have the luxury of tearing out their floorpan and waiting.

I've already talked to them, and they're interested. I asked specifically to bring pans for our cars into real production, and that's absolutely what I'm shooting for. They were referred to me by a friend from the 1st gen Toyota Celica community, as they're the only place you can get sheetmetal for those cars.

Check them out! They made a Gogomobil pan! They'll do anything. I think the fourth best selling automobile platform in history is a good sell.

Wish i was on this forum before i cut a partial out of my parts car.... floor was immaculant but now its missing a 1.5ft x1.5ft section on drivers area.

It's easier and cheaper to get a good floor pan from a used car. There's gozillions of them out there.

Yes thats what i did frm my parts car but ut would be awesome to have a reproduction brand new pan avail!

73-76 pans are quite different.  However, 77-96 are virtually identical with the exception of factory dual exhaust cars like the Impala SS.  I cut out a pristine pan from a 93 or 94 Buick Roadmaster to replace the pan in my 79 2-door.  The pan cost me $36.00 and a little time.  The only real difference I noticed is the shape of the floor where the rear seat belts bolt to is a little more raised & reinforced.

solo769, that's good to know for the year range. A junkyard let you go with a full pan that cheap! Wow! I don't have a lot of B-Bodys in local yards, and I know myself and the community would love actual floorpans.

If I end up getting pans somewhere else, I'll donate my old stuff to the cause and see if Wolf Steel will get something started. My personal goal is to repair my body issues, but I'd still really like to see production new B-Body pans.

I would love to see a reproduction version. Most of these cars are in the Southwest, and many junk yards just will not remove and ship such items (even small items for that matter), even for willing paying customers for the added labor and shipping!

I never looked, but is there any full floor plans for the 1996 B Body still avail? I mean yes, one would have to purchase new and send it to the company, but an option if avail.

I know a floor pan is NOT the only sheet metal these cars need reproductions!

I don't think there were ever any floor pans available through GM. If a car was damaged to the point it needed a new floor pan, it was considered a total loss and written off.
