    The forgotten B Body? 1978_b10

    Info from wiki I didn't know they made these and for only for two years. Before and after it was an E body . Anybody ever have one or ride in one?

    Ha i was actually just reading about this a month or so ago, i seen a 73 Riviera on the road so i had to look it up, and i went through all the Gen's to see what changed, pretty cool.

    A friend use to have one back in the day. Was a 78 and two toned. I liked that sport steering wheel. I used to know some people down south with those early 70's Rivs. Seen many in the junks yard as they were ugly.
    I loved those 403 they were fast and then the B body car's with them had the 25 gallon tanks.

    Yeah I have soft spot for Rivs one of my favorite former rides was a 63' Riv with the Nailhead v8 in Sea green no less.

    I liked that early 70s Riv and like you are saying you used to see them a quite often, used to be a one jacked up with big

    tires too in Albany years ago painted Black I think it was a 72'.

    I had no idea those existed.  I have never seen one before.  I like it!  That has a cool look to it.  I quizzed a friend about these at a car show last night.  He didn't know either.  Cool find!

    My plan at year 2014 was exactly the Riviera 1977 - 1978 and then and later I have wondered, that how totally forgotten one car model can be!! Instead that dull model fwd 1979-> looks to many people more exciting and I really wonder, why.

    But I too ended up not to Riviera, but to LeSabre 1978 and cannot say, if it was bad thing. But I would really like to see some day the Riviera 1977-1978 somewhere.

    At Brooklands Riviera test book, Rivieras 1963 - 1978 there are two articles of the Riviera 1977-1978 and they liked the car, when it was new.

    I enjoyed my 63' Riviera had lot of good times in that car.It's been gone though for 20 years but it's high on my list of cars I have owned.

    I had a couple friends that drove them in high school.  They were boats, comfortable but dogs on power.  One of my friends had his with wide cragars on the back and skinnies on the front.  LOVED the look.  Classic 80s time capsule then.
