Independent Front & Rear Suspension on a B-body

Hi all, i perused the forum for a reference on this but couldn't find one. My question is, what year of Corvette (if any) would have a more compatible suspension to go on a 1978 Caprice Classic Landau Coupe? I'd like to go full Independent (i aim to build a track monster) however the HEIDTS rear end is far out of my price level, nor do i think it bolts right up anyway, which leaves me looking at a bargain of a 1990 Dana 44 3.07ratio Corvette IRS & IFS on craigslist and fantasizing if it is feasible. Any direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
