WTB: '79 2-door

Great Site! Hope it takes off! Like the title says, I'm looking for a '79 2-door, more specifically a Caprice Classic with the vinyl top trim piece behind the quarter glass. PM me price, location, leads or post directly. Thanks!

So are you looking for a landau or just the base model with an optional partially covered vinyl top? I will definitely keep an eye out. Just thought id point out that it took me close to two years to find my car, they are getting so hard to find.

I had a '79 Caprice Classic 2-door from '94-'04 and never should have sold it. It was my first car. Anyway, it was midnight blue color with a lighter blue top (two tone) but not a vinyl top car. However, it did have the vinyl top termination trim piece between the quarter glass and the back window. I painted the car Dodge Viper blue and installed a full white vinyl top on it. I know where it's at, just can't get the guy to sell it back to me, so I figured I'd just find another one. Apparently not as easy as I thought it would be.

FOUND ONE!!!!  I'll have pics when I get it home this weekend.  I got her for $900.  It's a maroon '79 350 2-door.  It's got some light passenger fender/headlight damage and sports a front bumper from a later car.  The motor knocks and the transmission is missing, but the frame/body are solid which is all I care about.  The rest is just details.  Looking forward to this build.

"WANTED" ......79 CAPRICE CLASSIC STATION WAGON. CHROME DRIVER SIDE REMOTE MIRROR. LOOKING FOR NICE MIRROR IN "CHROME" AND GOOD WORKING CONDITION. I WILL CONSIDER ALL EXCEPT VERY BADLY PITTED CHROME. NOT TOTALLY SURE ON PART NUMBERS OF MIRRORS. OR IF WHAT YEARS WERE THE SAME 77-79?? CAN ANYBODY HELP?
