    I'm planning to upgrade to LED lights with sequential turn signal kit. Would like to have 6 lights instead of just 4, but chevy didn't provide a third bucket to house a center bulb in 1978. Would a newer say 1981 on light bucket have 3 bulbs per side? If so....would it be a straight swap?

    You'll have to modify your existing housings. 77-78 Caprice interchange, and 77-78 Impala interchange. That's it unless you change the metal mounting panel. "Export" 79 Caprice is the only housing that has 3 light sockets. No it is NOT a direct bolt in.

    Good info...thx Sounds like a lot of work, but will think about it. I'm trying to upload photos via Photobucket. Wish me luck!
