Hello I am helping my neighbor with his 1978 caprice project. I am new to the site but is I am looking for the wiring layout for the gauge lights. We are trying to trace out where the wire go under the hood and what color. Also in 78 did the impala or el camino have a factory tech that would fit in the caprice dash?

I have a scan of the GM master wiring diagram I can send you for 1979. The only thing I've found different on other years 77-79 is the color of some of the wires. Just pm me with an email.

Hey anyone found a stock looking tach the would fit in the 78 caprice where the warning lights are one the dash?
