    Bumper Filler Empty Bumper Filler

Do you own a 77, 78 or 79 Caprice 2 Dr. or 4 Dr.? Is your rear "center" bumper filler panel OEM? If so, is it rubber/urethane or fiberglass? Thank you for your reply.

    Bumper Filler Empty bumper filler

My 78 rear bumper filler is OE and is brittle.  It is molded urethane over a stamped steel frame.  When it was new I am sure it was far more flexible than it is now.  It also shrinks a little with age.  I did remove mine to rechrome the bumper and to repaint the filler.  I used a lot of urethane repair to fix the cracks - and now it looks acceptable.
