Does an Impala have a different outer window sweep than a Caprice? I have seen some on eBay for 1977-1979 2 doors and they don't look like my Caprice's.

Nope, they are exactly the same, wait, you were able to find some on ebay!!!??

If you remove the window sweeps does the chrome trim separate from the rubber sweep?

nope, it is all one piece, i also found them on ebay! will have to pick a set up soon.
