    Seat upgrades Empty Seat upgrades

    Post  caprice85 Wed Feb 01, 2017 2:19 pm

Im looking to see if there are any seats or if someone has swapped seats from another vehicle to the 80s bbodys. Im looking for bucket seat options that dont require too many modifications.

I installed PT Cruiser seats (02' I believe) relatively easy to cob in I used a piece of square steel from a sign as the

mounts for the back part and put the front on the factory pan mount. They might be a tad high in the back but I

have sat in them for two years without issues. I should add I did not use the PT base for the seats as they would have hit

the roof if I did. But that was an add on to the seat to raise it up for the high roof PT.

I like the arm rests on those. I heard g body cutlass seats fit with no modifications on another site. Anyone else swap bucket seats into their b body?

I installed some Audi A6 seats in mine, with a 75 olds cutlass center console. https://www.gmbbodyforum.com/t558-bucket-seat-center-console-project?highlight=center+console

These are out of an Olds Delta 88 Holiday Edition. They're direct bolt-ins. Since they're from a B body, they're the correct height too. Although they look similar to G body seats, they're bigger. The driver side is 6 way power.

    They're for sale btw. $200.

Those do in fact look just like Cutlass seats. Never noticed that. Interesting. I like those! I like the Audi seats in B-Body's car as well! I had Cutlass seats in my first Caprice several years ago and they fit good and were a good height, but I had to fashion brackets for the center since that car had a full bench originally.

I have a Cutlass with similiar seats. They look the same. Curious on how much size difference the Delta seats are to the bucket Cutlass seats. I see the cutlass seats all the time.

The seats are approximately 3" wider and a couple inches taller than G body seats.

The plastic "shell" is shaped differently also.
